The movie I was excited to see for the whole year is here and it definitely lived up to its expectations. Pixar never fails to impress us. That said we can get into the review...
A Pixar movie, good. Tina Fey in the voice cast, better. An original idea won me over.
The story follows Joe Gardner, a middle school band teacher who is overdue to make it big in the world of Jazz. If you have seen any of the trailers you would know that Joe is transported to after life on the same day he is about to realize his dream. After this, the film takes us through a series of events that celebrate life with unexpected twists and turns.
The voice cast lead by Jamie Foxx as Joe Gardner and Tina Fey as 22, a new soul who hates to have life on earth have done a very good job. The animation of both the after life and the physical world are brilliant as one expects from a Pixar movie. The music for this movie is also one of the best of this year.
The movie was filled with so many witty dialogues like 22 picking up the voice of Tina Fey just so it irritates other people. The other well-known world leaders trying to be good mentors to 22 were hilariously handled. All the emotional moments were perfect and had a deep effect.
Movie Rating: A
Little Things:
Definitely, this movie will be compared to Inside Out which was also directed by Pete Docter
Pixar is making many movies dealing with the idea of death recently. What is your thought on that, comment below...
