The new adaptation of the Ann M Martin's book is such a heart-warming tale. I haven't read any of these books so the characters and setting were new to me.
As each episode was told from the point of view of a character it added strength to that episode and their respective character arcs. Especially the episodes which are revolving around Claudia Kishi and Stacey(the first one) are really good and very emotional.
They didn't shy off handling the tougher issues. They showed us how these important topical issues are seen by the twelve-year-olds. By doing this they just made this into better content.
The last two episodes which acted as an epilogue to the season was only there to introduce the new characters (who are supposed to be important characters in the book). It is in these episodes the two main characters fight against "Socio-economic stratification", which seemed kinda odd for the twelve-year-olds to do. So except these two last episodes, every other episode was brilliant. Though this is the case it is just a well made feel-good show that is sure to entertain every age group.
A special shoutout to Mark Evan Jackson who accepts weird roles and excels in it every time.
