The best drama on TV returned today and it is as strong and brilliant as ever.
It was such a hearty feeling hearing the title music after a very long time. Some minor changes were made to the title credits, adding more of young Roman. With that pleasantness, we move into the story, which starts right where we left the Roys' a couple of years back.
The sharp and witty dialogues you expect from the show are spread throughout along with its intense drama and scheming. This episode includes some awesomely awkward moments too which are caused due to rekindling some old relationships. Tom is Tom and Greg is Greg both of which are always good. I would love to see of them than offered in this episode.
The Roy civil war has officially begun and whose side are you on? It is difficult to pick right? It is difficult for us to pick just like those characters' dilemmas on the show. The episode slowly lays the platform for the nine-episode season three. We have the first set of players on both sides. We may never know the changing alliance inside the Roy clan, which is the inherent beauty of the show.
The supporting characters too had a hearty plot in the season opener. Be it Karoline, the head of PR, or Jess from Kendall's side, or Hugo or Karl or Frank on the Logan side (at least for now). Willa helping out Connor adds brilliance to her already brilliant character.
Gerri as the CEO (interim) is a long-time coming one which perfectly positions the other characters for the season. And finally, I have to say this, Greg's position in the official poster is just amazing.
I hope the season is just as awesome as the first episode.
