It has been more than two weeks since the show premiered and the target audience for this would already have binged it. So instead of a review, let us see it is an appreciation post.
Star Wars' first foray into Anime is a huge success (at least in my opinion), the short form structure really really helped the show achieve its uniqueness in each episode and to venture into new and little-known areas of the galaxy.
Not every episode is a great episode which is a common issue among the anthology shows but it doesn't matter here as much. This is because of the fact that they atleast tried to do something new and cool with these amazing set pieces and characters. The music and the style of animation adds a new layer to the storytelling.
Above everything else, the main reason for its success is its writing. Each story though only running for 20 minutes max, had at least one memorable character who had a really strong arc and whom you care about even after the episode ends.
All these made this show an interesting and must-watch. I hope the beloved franchise tries something new like this often. Fingers crossed for the show's renewal.
