The new AppleTV+ show is here. This show is based on the character created for NBC's Premier League promos.
Has the usual underdog storyline with an exciting twist and a lot of heart. Only a few characters are given importance and all of them are well written. Though not all the characters are given personal specific goals they all have goodness as their X-factor. The character Trent Crimm, from The Independent, is also fun to watch.
Ted Lasso is a coach who wants his players to be a better person than being a good player (slightly Coach Taylor vibes). Oh, losing the matches also does not matter to him much too. Other than Ted, we have a morally divided Rebecca Welton, Coach Beard, a happy go lucky woman Keeley (interesting to watch the conversations between her and Lasso), the stubborn to change captain Roy and Nathan in supporting roles.
The show is slowly setting up the stories in a leisure manner. The small small things are building the character of Ted Lasso well and interesting to watch. The thing that really attracts me is that they somehow found a way to tell a comical story in a heartwarming fashion.
Waiting for the next episodes.
