The last episode before the winter break is here so let's get into the review

The episode starts with Cloud Nine introducing a new method (a prize wheel as in the title) to lure customers into the shop during this trying time. Though Glenn is thrilled about this new addition, he couldn't enter the store as he has recently come in contact with someone who has tested positive. This means that Dina is in charge of the store for a week. And yeah in the other subplot Jonah is applying for a new job.

Dina's way of dictatorship over the employees makes them uneasy to work. It is of no surprise that her managership won't have a good effect on the employees. It seems that she may be worse than Mateo to her colleagues (in a comical way). The way they may take Jonah's character this season will be interesting to see. The writers are clearly trying to give him good character growth career-wise. In the previous episode, he tried for the floor supervisor role, and in this one, he is trying to get a new job.

The other plots like Garrett and Cheyenne trying to remove the source of very bad odor and Glenn trying hard to hear what is going on in the shop played out well. This is nothing new to the show but it worked fine with this episode.

The way the shows try to finish fall episodes in a cliffhanger feels cheap. So it was a big relief when they didn't go for a cliffhanger to end this episode.

Episode Rating: B+

Little Things:

  • I have a hunch that Jonah will at least try to finish his business school this season or at the very least will apply for it again. If he does it will be good to see.

  • The show is still going strong all the while staying relevant with times even after five and half very good seasons.
