The penultimate episode of this NBC comedy aired this week but it is still hard to get over the fact that this wonderful show comes to an end in five days' time. Now let us get into the review...
With three continuous great episodes, the show was well poised to end with a bang. This particular episode though didn't provide as much laugh as the last three episodes it covered the end stories for few characters well.
Jonah's love for Amy is still there and this story perfectly sits in a sweet spot as we wait for Amy's return next week. Hannah too seems like a nice character but settling with her won't be good considering she only appeared for a handful of episodes. That might lead to a weak character arc for her. But even if the showrunners choose not to unite Jonah and Amy back showing it as some kinda cycle it will be okay if there is a proper reason.
Dina and Garrett are finally a couple now after a little gap. Her breakup with Brian was good amicable, as it did not affect anybody's feelings. The most important thing is that she did not lose her typical behavior all the while. The culmination of Dina and Garrett's story as a couple seemed a bit anti-climatic but that was not a big problem as over the period of time they made us root for them a big time.
The titular Lowell Anderson was a good addition too. We could see the founder's son who was responsible for Glenn's hardware store's close, at least before the finale. His character worked well along with Cheyenne and Glenn. Glenn's new hairdo is priceless. Man oh man that made me laugh so much. At last, we also got to see the ever calm Glenn to be irked by Mr. Anderson.
With all this said we come to the conclusion of our breakdown. Comment below your thoughts. And don't forget to join us for the finale next week, until then bye.
Episode Rating: B+
Little Things:
We all should be afraid of Sandra's stalking skills because it seems like she is the master of her skills in this domain
Amy's surprise cameo at the end was good
Mateo has a lesser role in this episode and the whole season too in my opinion. He had a few key moments like proposal too but those are few and far between
Glenn is killing it in the last few episodes
