The second episode of an already hit Disney+ show is here and let us get into the review...
This episode has the perfect blend of humor, emotional moments, and action sequences one would expect from Marvel. The banter between the two leads was always fun to watch (even more so here). The way they are handling the issues is really good. I honestly think that this show should have started the Phase 4 of the MCU. The way the show explores the areas the movies have never ventured into all the while staying grounded is the reason I think that should have happened. Far from Home was a good addition as well but this would have dealt with problems directly connects to the blip.
There is no need to say how stunning the action sequences are choreographed. But one can't go past without mentioning when the sequences are so amazing like in this episode. Each of the character's abilities is used to perfection.
Starting right off the bat the way they jumped into the US Agent's backstory was a brilliant idea. It not only humanized him but also reduced the hatred from fans towards the character. Wyatt Russell should be appreciated too for his portrayal.
The way they took time for each scene to breathe made each one better. The scene with Isaiah or the cops asking Sam for his ID was benefited from this. The heroes facing real-world issues like racism are equally good as them fighting a big bad alien. The super-strength serum at this point in MCU just feels like it could pop at any point in time, just like Iron Man's old enemies. But this doesn't dilute the Isaiah scene.
The flag smashers as the villains are really benefitted from the structure of this project. If it is not a TV show then they could also possibly be just some random villain no one cares about even in the third act. Here they have established the characters well and also their motivations are clearly explained. This could factor much in the final episodes.
Episode Rating: A-
Little Things:
The humor in the episode was top-notch stuff from Marvel. The therapy session, the leads banter with US Agent and so
Favorite Quote: "If he was wrong about you then he is wrong about me"
As the beard grew on the US Agent seemed to become more unlikable
What is up with Disney+ shows and their back angle shots to reveal anyone. Because it is starting to get a little stale as they are not only using it to reveal a major character but also for every other character who might only have a little bit of importance
