After a mediocre third episode, let us how well today's episode fared...
I think the show is losing its footing as the season progresses. The first two episodes were great and when one compares the last episodes with the first two it pales in comparison.
I liked the way they ended this episode. But that 3 minutes is not enough for an episode right? The whole episode was dull and lacked the forward momentum. Bear in mind only two episodes are left after this episode. Adding to that, the problems arise left and right. The heroes now have to deal with three problems - Zemo, Super Soldier Walker, and the main antagonists' flag smashers. Not to mention we are yet to see Power Brocker too. Unless some twist happens which in turn connects all those stories I am afraid that they may not be able to close off all the story points in a satisfactory manner. It would be so sad if that happens for a show which has a lot of potentials.
Another problem is that everything is so convenient for moving the story forward. Like Baron Zemo being rich in the previous episode and Sharon Carter controlling two satellites. All these things are letting down the grounded nature of the show. It is still grounded but we don't know how long will it be.
Even though I said the last scene was very good, I couldn't connect with John Walker that much. That problem is because there was no emotional connection for us with the Lemar aka Battlestar. So even though I get his urge to attack the flag smashers it still feels hollow.
The Dora Milaje scenes were good they added the extra perspective which is needed for the show. The fighting sequences were all neatly choreographed as I said in the previous breakdowns. Sam trying to talk with Karli would have been better if Walker didn't intrude.
