After the two very special "special" episodes, the show returned for its second season this weekend. And let us see how it fares...
Two episodes were released as part of the season opener, in which the first episode was so good but the second episode fizzled out a bit. This is the same case as the previous season where they were a little inconsistent episodic-wise. This claim is only made because of the talent both on and off-screen that is involved in the show.
The first episode's concept of the testers developing the app and the function awarding the woman in gaming was nice and new. Danny Pudi's dialogues were on fire in the opening scenes. It looks like Brad's character might have the needed scope to perform here than the previous season. The other storyline of Ian, David, and Poppy attending the function was captured pretty well as well. The twist at the end was good too.
The second episode revolving around the power struggle happening inside Poppy's head combined with a pretty common subplot of the testers having some relationship issues didn't quite hold up to the first episode. Most times when the show involves HR, Carol, the plot becomes the cliched sitcom version of the show. And it doesn't work well here either. The somewhat weaker episode's writing makes this one a bit boring episode.
I firmly believe that the show will continue to grow in the second season. Hoping that it will become consistent as the episodes go on.

I heard that this season has a flashback episode too and it is even better than the previous season. This tells the fact that this season has some really stand-out episodes.
