The new FX comedy created by Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi premiered today and it is off to a very good start. That said let us get into the review...

The premise for the show revolves around 4 Native American kids who want to leave their home for California. They involve in many kinds of thievery for making their dream come true. The first two episodes established the gang and its rivals, the gangs' various mischievous activities, their soft-hearted nature, and them feeling sad for the guys from whom they have robbed.

The characters and their surroundings were nicely captured here. They have started to set everybody's purpose and needs. These are done in a neat and fresh way. As I said this setting feels very new which in turn helps the plot in a major way. And the questions this show asks are good.

Even the minor characters are given good details so far (hope this continues for the rest of the show). The weird little things happening in the show are quirky. Like the visions of Bear.

The platform has been perfectly set for the season. The street-level gang fight and the dilemma of the kids are just enough for a really good and funny season. looking forward to the rest of the episodes.

Episodes Rating: A-

Little Things:

  • Zahn McClarnon's role as a police officer is so good and his character too seems a good funny one so far

  • The casting department has done a brilliant job by casting these leads
