A solid season of Dave came to an end today and let us talk about it...
This season deals with the release of Lil Dicky's first album. To make it happen Dave must overcome his writer's block and the mutiny of ants. GaTa tries to fit in the world of Dave, whom he feels is not treating him equally. Mike tries and is tried of being Dave's manager at times, and yeah he also tries to add more clients.
Let us come to the character arcs for this season. Did Dave, the character, become any less of a self-centered guy, no he still is an unlovable character as before. But his character's growth could be seen in every passing episode, even though it is so small. The person who shines season after season is none other than Davionte Ganter a.k.a Dave a.k.a GaTa. GaTa's personal interest in making his own album is a very interesting plot.
But when it comes to the other characters I think they couldn't accommodate everyone within the runtime. These are some very interesting characters so even though they had some meaningful contributions throughout the season I think everybody could have had a little more screen time. Because of the breakup Ally's scope for the season is limited. Elz's and Emma's characters though had some nice little plots were in the background for the most part of the season.
When it comes to the overall storytelling this season is so solid and consistent in comparison to the first outing. Each episode was jam-packed with so many plots and they all were properly executed. Some interesting cameos and more of the Burds are a nice touch.
This show became a solid character-driven dramedy this season, which made us wait for each episode. What more does a show want than the fans eagerly waiting for a new episode or a new season?

Dojo Cat was a very good addition for this season. Her episode was very nice too.
Emma's decision of directing the GaTa music video is super cool, looking forward to it
Elz's test for Dave over his rights was another nice touch
