Was Mr. Corman a series canceled too soon? Let me know in the comments. Now let's get into the review...
The show deals with Josh who starts to have some panic attacks. The show revolves around the lives of Josh's friends and family members.
The show was not an easy watch. Moreover, it also had some two or three odd episodes which were falling flat. And importantly the show took its time before getting good. These reasons might have caused some people to turn away from the show.
But then again the show had a very huge advantage of being a half-hour show. In my opinion, this was the best thing that the show had done along with the innovative things they did owing to the pandemic. We could see the good innovative approaches done for the crowd and dance sequences.
Some individual episodes were neatly done. My favorite episodes were Mr. Morales, centered around Arturo Castro's Victor, Action Adventure involving the Halloween party, Funeral, and Mr. Corman. These four were unique and very well-executed episodes.
I feel that these wonderfully conceived characters were not fully utilized.
Come on, the show always had a huge wall to climb to get a second season. First off, not an easy subject to deal with. Secondly, the show had an all-out A star cast who might be expensive for a show. And finally, the show didn't get any huge promotional push from Apple's streaming platform.
The heartfelt emotions this show had were really good.
Series Rating: B
Bottom line: Contains four episodes which are so good. And their innovative approach throughout the season was wonderful.
