One of this year's best shows came to a closure today. The end was as fun as it was promised throughout.
With just six episodes as six days, the show divulged properly into the psyche of both the hoteliers and the guests. The show didn't have many laugh-out moments but it was not a problem one bit. They covered this with detailed character arcs with a cynical approach.
Before the show began, I didn't think it would reach a wide audience as it does now. I always thought that it would go as one of the good HBO show with a lesser audience. But I am so happy that I'm wrong as the limited series tag was changed to the anthology.
The A-list actors did their job to perfection. Having these many well-known faces would have attracted the audience too. For me personally, Murray Bartlett, Natasha Rothwell, Alexandra Daddario, and Jennifer Coolidge did an amazing job throughout.
The story and its approach made the show not only a must-watch but also an interesting watch. The who's in the casket mystery added a cool layer to the show as well. It didn't feel like a cheap trick.
The dialogues were on point and always had a good comedic undertone. They nicely handled the inclusion of some of the important issues.
