With the first half done, the show is now perfectly poised to have a great finish.
This show continues the year's trend of having one great episode after another on a weekly basis. The characters have been given a good script and enough room to shine. And each one does. The show's biggest arsenal is their way of treating each characters' journey naturally. They have to be appreciated for not including a character just for the sake of it. Mainly removing Cheese from the second episode was a good touch. They have wisely used their wide range of characters up until now. Big and Rita are very nicely used.
The show doesn't have many laugh-out moments which they more than compensate with good character moments. Cheese's ride along with Big, Big's characteristics, Bear's appreciation of his mom, Uncle Brownie's interaction with the kids all score those neat brownie points.
The show is as said above is perfectly set for a very good finish. Hope they provide a heartwarming and hilarious second half.
