The show came back stronger in the second half which made the show a lot better.
The second half had a more focused structure which in turn helped the narrative. The return of Adorable was a great touch. Tylor's growing affection towards the MIFTers and his aim of becoming a jokester were both given equal importance. This made them capture Tylor's inner conflict nicely.
The original movie's end provided a perfect through-line for a sequel. And the show neatly and wisely expanded it. The introduction of MIFTers was a nice touch.
I would have preferred them showing more on the electricity shortage issue. This would have given Sully and Mike an organic chance to be around more.
Except for few issues, this show is a successful foray for Pixar into the original series' format.
